Joyce
My name is Joyce Troxler and I am the CSC’s Administrative Assistant. I came to the UTK to begin a Master’s in Education in 1975. At that time I began attending Laurel Church of Christ and the CSC where I developed friendships, which have evolved into lifelong relationships. One of those friends, Bill Troxler, became my husband in 1977. Bill graduated from UT with a Master in Environmental Engineering. Bill and I have remained members at Laurel during our 41 years of marriage. Bill is an elder and together we have served in several ministries at Laurel, staying consistently involved in the CSC.
My passion for campus ministry is strong because of the influence it had on me during my college years and beyond and also that of my children’s. My oldest son graduated from UT and during his time at UT he was active at the CSC both as a student and a leader. The story is the same for my second son who graduated from TTU and was active at the UCSC, a campus ministry of Collegeside Church of Christ. My daughter graduated from Harding University also being impacted by ministries on campus and the people who invested in the students and served as role models. Because of campus ministry my family has a deep and lasting relationship with God and a strong faith that has carried them through our life journeys in addition to a community of Christians who encourage each other through the years. My desire in serving the CSC is to help provide the same blessings for students at UT.
